Fluffy's Dangerous Journey

" Fluffy stop daydreaming and pay attention!" " This is important information you need to

know," said the teacher. Fluffy, who had been daydreaming, brought his attention back to

the teacher. "huh what" he said? He had been dreaming about a big juicy carrot that he

had brought with him. The carrot was sitting next to him waiting for him to eat it. He was

embarrassed that he had been caught daydreaming during class! He was even more embarrassed

when all the other rabbit students started to laugh. Fluffy would get into trouble

because he daydreamed a lot, which was why the teacher was upset at him again! Fluffy

just couldn't help himself  he got bored when the teacher would talk about which plants

to eat and which ones to stay away from. The teacher also taught them which plants not

to rub against throughout the woods so they wouldn't get Poison Ivy. "Now that we have you back"

said the teacher "I need to tell you something important.""Nobody may go out of the forest to the

farmer's house."  Fluffy, who had been there many times to get carrots or eat the little shoots above

the ground in the farmers garden, wondered why so he asked, "why can't we go?" To which the

teacher replied, " it's dangerous!"  All the students with the exception of Fluffy, obeyed. Fluffy despite

the warning decided to go to the farmers garden anyway.  Fluffy set out right after class. He went

across a log covered with moss, along the clear river and among the pink lilies. A gentle breeze

ruffled Fluffy's thick black fur. "The breeze smelled of the forest he was leaving behind. The smell

almost made him turn around and go home, but he pushed the thought out of  his head and kept

going. He went around a rock, by a beehive and behind a tree that looks like a four.  Then he went

down beneath the ground into a tunnel and beyond the forest. Fluffy finally arrived at the farmers

faded green house. The house was faded due to the years it had been there. In spite of the warning

from the teacher, Fluffy went into the farmers garden. The garden had beets below the ground also

underneath the ground were the carrots, which were Fluffy's favorite. In addition to all this there were

many other  varieties of vegetables. After  he had been eating for a while he noticed a shiny box. The

box had never been there before on the other times he had been to the garden. Fluffy went over to

investigate. He was curious! What was this weird shiny box? A wise rabbit would have run away but

because of his curiosity he went closer and closer until he was within the shiny box. At the back of

the shiny box he noticed a big juicy carrot and started to eat it. What he didn't realize was that while

he ate the carrot the door had shut. He was trapped like a sparrow who couldn't fly. In regard to who

had put the trap out it was the farmer. The farmer was tired of rabbits going under his fence and

eating his crops. The farmer wanted to protect his garden and besides he knew a pet store owner that

would pay money for any rabbits the farmer caught. He was especially happy when he came out the

next day and saw Fluffy in the trap. The farmer took the cage with the very scared Fluffy into the barn.

The barn smelled of animal manure and hay. Fluffy stayed in the barn until it was noon.  While

eating breakfast the farmer had called the pet store owner. The pet store owner settled a price and

time to pick up Fluffy. At noon Fluffy was taken out of the barn and put into the back of a truck.

Aboard the truck where other items that slid towards Fluffy hitting the cage. The cage was banged up

when the pet store owner picked it up out of  his truck. He took Fluffy along with the other items into

his pet store. The pet store owner took Fluffy out of the cage and put him in a glass display case

along with another rabbit. The other rabbit asked Fluffy where he was from and what his name was.

Fluffy told his story to the rabbit and when he was done the rabbit who was named Jo said, " Then I

will help you escape!"  "How will we escape though? " asked Fluffy "Every day the pet store owner

cleans the cages and to clean them he takes us out in the front or the store in a brown box!" Jo said

Fluffy asked "How does this help us?"  "We can tip the box and be free!" exclaimed Jo. A day later

Fluffy and Jo were put in a box, then they were taken outside and put on the sidewalk. Fluffy and Jo

had their chance. They ran around from one side towards another crashing into the walls of the box.

Upon the third try the box tipped over and they were free!  According to a customer they ran off very

fast. Fluffy and Jo ran alongside a road, between the cars and instead of going through the farmers

garden in case of the trap being out, went without stopping to the mouth of  Fluffy's house. They

went down a tunnel, about five feet into the ground until they were safe in the den. Fluffy had learned

his lesson!  He doesn't go to the farmers house because it's dangerous and he's learned to always

listen to his teachers. For years now, he has been growing his own carrots. He doesn't go up to the

farmers garden or anywhere near it any more.  Fluffy passes his story unto the young rabbit

students, hoping they won't make the same mistake he made. There's always one rabbit in every

crowd daydreaming who won't heed the warning though!
